KOI Education offers three Certified Trainer courses on Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).
This in-person course features pre-course research articles and videos, daily in-person expert led discussions and reflections, followed by trainer-level training on Tier 1 systems and practice. Experts present all curriculum and demonstrate activities. Each participant will apply what they learned and present specific curriculum and activities during the training with feedback from peers and expert trainers in a safe and supportive environment.

Learning Objectives:
Understand the research and framework behind successful PBIS practices
Learn to teach the 12 critical systems, data and practices required for Tier 1
Discuss coaching responsibilities, the coaching continuum, and explore online tools to support your school and district PBIS teams
Examine the seven critical skills of effective presenters in order to establish credibility and sustain rapport in your role as a trainer, leader & coach (TLC)
Prerequisites:
Experience implementing PBIS as part of a school team for 1+ years
Knowledge and background in PBIS, behavior analysis & interventions, school psychology or special education
Training and coaching skills and disposition
2+ people per district (recommended)
Participants and district representative must sign a license agreement allowing exclusive use of curriculum, slides, activities, trainer manual and other resources before beginning course.
