What professional learning formats are available for today’s changing education environment?
We understand the critical need to meet schools and educators where they are - pedagogically and physically. That’s why many of our services can be delivered in the format that meets your needs: on-site, virtual/online, as well as with custom educational consulting services. We use research-based evaluation and assessment tools to analyze your growth both quantitatively and qualitatively so you can demonstrate impact to your employees, superintendent, board members, and community. On Site PD
How do I schedule one of your courses, workshops or services for my school?
Our passion is to collaborate with partners like you to provide services that deliver outcomes and impact learning. Contact Us and we can walk you through the booking process or simply share more information so that you can make a decision. With thousands of educational practices to choose from, we can advise you and debunk fad from fabulous (scientifically speaking, of course).
How long is a typical professional development workshop?
Awareness level learning can start at 1-2 hours, with deeper learning, planning and implementing taking 1 day to multiple-days across the school year. Workshop hours and options are listed in our professional learning Catalogue.
What are the costs?
Costs vary based on the length of the training, how many people attend and customization to meet your unique needs. We have contracts with national, state, local education agencies and purchasing cooperatives to offer competitive pricing.
Is travel included to bring the expert to me?
There are no travel costs for services in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Standard government rates are used to calculate travel, accommodations and per diems when necessary. These can be included in the contact or invoiced separately depending on your funding source and preference.
Are training resources and materials included?
All of our service contracts include the resources and materials that the participants need to succeed. This may include books, handouts, worksheets and online templates.
What tech do I need for on-site professional learning?
Most schools have everything we need for a successful day of professional learning. We always bring our own computer, but request a projector or TV, VGA/HDMI cables, speakers so that everyone in the room can hear, and internet access. Our Customer Success Manager will contact you to organize audio/visual needs, room set up for the type of service requested, and start/end time.
Virtual/Online PD
We need virtual PD, can you help?
YES, meaningful professional learning can be delivered to teachers, leaders and teams without on-site facilitators. You can still rely on our experts to build rapport and ensure active participation from all participants. Many of our course catalogue topics can be delivered via virtual learning to provide a superior personalized experience compared to typical recorded webinars. What tech does my staff need for virtual/online professional learning?
An internet connection. Our virtual learning leverages current video conferencing platforms accessed via a web browser or a downloadable desktop or mobile app.
Is virtual learning just a sit-and-get experience in front of my computer or tablet?
Not at KOI. Our professional learning is live and interactive, customized to your school context, and flexible - offering more choices to schools and administrators. At the core, our virtual learning is focused on learning strategies and participant outcomes by prioritizing active engagement and opportunities to respond via multiple learning modalities.
How do I get started with virtual or online professional learning?

Resources
Do you offer FREE resources, templates, handouts and reproducibles?
YES! We have an extensive collection of free resources for PBIS that align with our PBIS Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 books. We know educators need to copy and redistribute these materials to staff, students and families. And as creative professionals you also need the ability to remix, transform, and build upon our material. With KOI Resources you can do both! All our resources use a Creative Commons license meaning so you can adapt and share our handouts simply by citing KOI Education.
How can my school purchase your books?
Our books are widely available in print and digital format on AppleBooks and Amazon. Visit our Books page for direct links or to learn how to purchase from us with a purchase order.
Do you have any research or evidence on effective practices in school that I can share with colleagues?
We encourage you to browse our Insights for information that you can share via email, social media or with your Professional Learning Community (PLC). Do you offer training and events for individual educators or only to schools, districts and states?
