KOI Stands for Racial Equity in Our Schools and Communities

At KOI Education we stand in solidarity with our communities who are voicing their anguish, anger, and deep frustration with systems that oppress and devalue Black lives.

KOI Education stands for the values of inclusion, equity, diversity, and respect for the dignity and uniqueness of all persons. We stand against police brutality in all forms. We stand against a criminal justice system and schools disciplinary policies that disproportionately target People of Color.

Change is hard-fought, and we are committed to taking an active role in this fight. We plan to continue to seek out and form allyships with Black communities to better support educators, students and their families.  We are listening, learning, and taking this opportunity to grow and adapt. As a company and as individual community members, we will actively encourage and support all educators to have conversations, no matter how difficult, with their colleagues and with their students about racism, social justice, implicit biases, and the benefits of a just, equitable, fair and peaceful world.

In memory of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery and the countless others who have lost their lives, we will forever be committed to be part of the solution to make schools equitable, compassionate, and safe places for all students to learn.
